An announcement card created to outline the details of Dry Humor 6: A Night of Comedy Benefiting The Triangle Club.
We were approached by longtime client and stand-up comedian Josh Harris to design a captivating announcement card for Dry Humor Six. The event aimed to benefit the Atlanta Triangle Club, a sober recovery center based in Atlanta. Our goal was to develop a graphic that felt sharp, modern, and emotionally resonant. It needed to spotlight the performers while also highlighting the meaningful cause behind the show.
Dry Humor is more than just a clever title. It nods to sobriety, resilience, and the clean nature of the comedy itself. Therefore, we built the design with those themes in mind. The final visual features clean lines, uplifting colors, and purposeful typography. In particular, we chose a palette that reflects growth, hope, and the optimistic spirit of the Atlanta Triangle Club.
In addition, we ensured the design would work well across platforms. It had to look just as strong on social media as it would in print. Every element—from spacing to color contrast—was chosen to support clarity and impact.
Dry Humor Six wasn’t just another comedy night. Rather, it brought people together to celebrate second chances, shared laughter, and a strong recovery community. As a result, the announcement card worked as both a promotional piece and a visual statement of purpose. It raised awareness and encouraged support for the club’s mission.
Designing for an event with this much heart was a true privilege. Ultimately, we had the opportunity to create something stylish, sincere, and mission-driven. In the end, the final design honored recovery, comedy, and community—all through a single visual.
