A vibrant and visually appealing announcement card for actor Ethan McDowell. The design showcases McDowell’s world-wide talent search win for the role of Captain Jack Kemmer in the sci-fi series Space Command by Marc Scott Zicree. We used strong visuals and futuristic design elements to capture attention and celebrate this exciting casting achievement.
We created it to look similar to Bryan McClure’s talent search announcement, but still have its own unique style.
The assignment was to create a unique announcement card for actor Ethan McDowell. It needed its own distinct look while aligning with the branding already established for actor Bryan McClure. With similar goals in mind, we aimed to celebrate McDowell’s worldwide talent search win for the role of Captain Kemmer in the sci-fi series Space Command, written, directed, and produced by Marc Scott Zicree. The card highlighted this major achievement while staying true to the futuristic tone and established brand of the project.
Space Command blends classic sci-fi themes with visionary storytelling and immersive world-building. To reflect that, we used sleek typography, bold layouts, and futuristic design elements. These choices helped the card match the tone of the show while also showcasing Ethan’s breakthrough role as Captain Kemmer.
Ethan brings honesty and energy to every role. His work as Kemmer marks a significant step in his career, which continues to grow with each new project. This card served not just as a casting reveal but also as a tool to boost fan engagement and personal branding.
Designing for Space Command gave us rich visual material to work with. The process allowed us to merge narrative with high-concept design. In the end, the final piece honored both the ambition of the series and the rising trajectory of actor Ethan McDowell.
